What’s trending this year at Christmas

It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year!  Venues, restaurants, pubs, clubs & hotels across the country are in the process of getting festive ready & erecting the Christmas trees.

For those event spaces that host Christmas parties & celebrations it is especially important to get the decorations just right without it being over or under done.

Late November & December weddings benefit from their venue’s own decorations; sparkling fairy lights, open fires, candle light & a well-dressed tree, all of which can create an atmosphere that is unrivalled throughout the rest of the year.

As the trees & decorations go up, they can provide inspiration for your own festive look at home.

Some venues will be going for the more traditional colours of red, green & gold in their Christmas palette but others will plump for a more contemporary decor, such as using flowers within the scheme.  One particular hot idea for Christmas 2019 is the flower Christmas tree, be it in the form of decorating the tree with giant sunflowers, red poinsettias, pastel flower garlands or even a take on the popular flower walls that have featured heavily throughout 2019 as backdrops to events : a flower wall tree with the tree made entirely of crammed together pastel pink, cream, soft yellow and mauve blooms.

The rustic look is another likely to be popular, with outdoorsy features and Bohemian chic also likely to figure large on the Christmas tree circuit.

New Year’s Eve will be a big one this year as we launch into the twenties, many will be doing so Gatsby style & look to host the party of the century. Festive decor could echo the Gatsby sentiment with mirrored pieces & art deco ornaments, hanging beads & shimmering crystal.

Christmas last year saw some incredible Christmas trees. The English National ballet has a wonderful tree made entirely from previously worn ballet pointe shoes, the sky is really the limit for inventive and personal Christmas trees.

The more stunning & striking the Christmas tree the more it will be used as selfie backdrops by guests & party goers which will in turn lead to being featured prominently on social media.

Fantastic Christmas décor will help to ensure that the venue is seen and talked about. Hotels and restaurants will need to have Instagrammable decorations to be heavily featured on social media over the festive period.

Christmas is synonymous with games, and what better games to have than fun casino hire for the entertainment at the Christmas lunch or party.

The casino is a social event where guests get together and have fun and games with roulette, blackjack and poker.
